In 90% post WW1 arsenal overhauled condition, we have a 1918 dated Austro-Hungarian Rast and Gasser 8 shot revolver. This revolver is still completely matching which is saying something. This was one of the standard service weapons of the Dual Empire during the First World War. It certainly stayed in Service after the war and could have been fielded by any central European Nation, as they were widely in use in Czechoslovakia, Austria, Hungary to name just a few. These are well built hardy weapons and were highly regarded at the time. One notable feature is that the firing pin is mounted on the frame and not on the hammer. This feature is encountered today on many modern made revolvers such as those built by Ruger.
