In 96% excellent sharp condition, we have a late 1942 production Mauser made byf42 P.08 Luger Pistol. The pistol is all matching and has a mint bore as well. This is what I like to refer to as a “Brown Widow” as it has the typical features of a black widow but the grips are Walnut. Actually the walnut was the preferred grip material and the black plastic was used when walnut which was in short supply was not available. This Luger was made in the final months of Luger assembly at Mauser as the Army had adopted the P.38 which was in full production already at Walther and Spreewerke. Indeed Mauser was in the process of P.38 Production and the first examples rolled out in Late 1942 concurrent with the close of Luger production. If you are looing for a Luger to collect and to shoot this would be a great candidate.
